Limping into Pioneer

I recently started playing pioneer. My deck is a homebrew, Orzhov Angels.
Last night I lost hard to a Yorion/Omnath deck. It was like watching my opponent play solitaire.
Are there any staples I could have had in my main or side board that would have helped?
I know there are not a ton of details here. Looking for general ideas.
