So I've always wanted to make my own Magic set just for fun and creative exercise. But I’m wondering if I could have some help with the direction of an idea. What would you do to make a “Legend of Zelda” inspired set and plane? And I don’t mean a Universes Beyond kind of thing but I mean if WOC decided to make a whole plane and set inspired by the idea of Zelda without using any of the actual IP? What kind of mechanics do you think they would make or reuse? What kind of creatures do you think they would include? Or even what choices would any of you make?

The only idea I have is to make one of the Legendary Creatures, the Link stand-in, would be a little Goblin Paladin like character. The Master Sword would be a transforming Equipment starting as a small blade but could either use counters or transform after leveling up like the Class cards? Its theme would be about unlocking potential by proving worthiness. The only other idea is having no human inhabitants as a creature type.
