How do YOU make proxy’s

I am looking to make my own proxy’s. I love magic but I am financially strapped and don’t have hundreds or thousands to spend on decks. My thought is to take sticker paper and print them, then get a card cutter and just stick the artwork over common cards/bulk. I’m curious what other people have done? I’ve ordered from MPC before and this is my next best option I think to continue with them.
