Strampel was our head of Osteopathic Medicine for years. Simon was Provost - responsible for the faculty - before becoming president. She knew of the allegations for at least 14 years (2003-2017), and did nothing, explicitly passing the buck on.

Strampel was directly responsible for Nassar, as Nassar was on his staff. He also is now known to be a sexual predator, as well as an enabler of Nassar. To have Simon sweep this under the rug as "boorish" is to destroy all meaning of the word "boor." Strampel is a sexual predator, not because he makes people uncomfortable or makes inappropriate jokes, but because of the other things explained in the link. (Again, not sharing in comment because of not wishing to trigger victims of sexual violence.)

My question is this: How the fuck does Simon wake up in the morning and think, "I did things that were morally defensible, even with the evidence that is now public." She is defending sexual predators as being irritations, not, you know, SEXUAL PREDATORS.
