So we've been grandfathered into Splashtop's Legacy Business plan for the past couple years, and a few days ago they let us know that they are going to pull the plug on it, and that we need to upgrade to a different plan.
The Business plan's pricing was great; we initially paid $60/year/user with unlimited endpoints. We resold the service to our clients for those who wanted to remote into their own PCs, and wound up with about 120 users overall, including our 15 in-house. That was enough users that they actually lowered the price for us to about $35/year/user, that we got a decent profit margin from when we resold for MSRP. We currently have about 2200 computers on it.
So overall about $4200/year for us.
That plan went 'legacy' a couple years ago, and now they are shutting it down completely. The best replacement option they offer is the general 'Splashtop Remote Support', which is $40.8/month for 25 PCs and unlimited users. Scaling that, we'll be at $3700/month, or $44k/year, which obviously will not work.
So…..unless the sales person can figure something out, we're gonna jump ship.
Are there any viable alternatives? We also have Kaseya VSA, which comes with LiveConnect, but we've always liked having 2 separate Remote Software. Nothing shuts down business faster than having your ability to remote into client's PCs neutered due to a software issue. Not a bash on LiveConnect as it's been pretty stable, but just a basic rule of thumb.
We need something that scales "unlimited" quantity for both users and endpoints, so we can grow as needed and not have to open/manage separate accounts. Sticking close to the $4200/year price would be great, but that's probably a pipe dream.
