Download Microsoft 365 (EXO) Mails periodically as .eml

Hi guys, I have an interesting challenge. One of our clients uses an old LOB app which is able to parse emails as .eml. Those .eml files are generated by an old Linux box on prem. We are migrating them to M365 and we will need a solution to download mails from a M365 Mailbox to a local server as .eml.

Basically a command line mail downloader. I’ve found a couple for IMAP but those only support Basic auth and as we know Microsoft is moving away from that.

Any ideas? Powershell? PowerAutomate? Any Open-source software?
