Applied to Ohio University’s online MPH program and I was accepted! They are accredited and between the partial tuition scholarship I get for being an alumnus and my work paying for the rest, I’ll be getting my MPH fo FREE (mostly). Their focus is rural health, which is a large portion of what I deal with at work (pediatric bleeding disorders coordinator covering five states out west) and while it isn’t as prestigious as other programs out there, it will suit my needs the best in order to advance my career with as little debt as possible 🥰
Stats:
-Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a concentration in Health Communication, GPA 3.2
-Associate Degree in Nursing, GPA 3.4
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing, GPA 3.6
-5 years work experience as a pediatric hematology, oncology, and cellular therapies nurse, and now currently working in more of a public health setting as the bleeding disorders coordinator for the entire state of Utah & surrounding states
-No GRE but some really solid letters of recommendation including one from a professor there.
This was the only program I applied to.
