I'm moving out and I'm scared

Post Body

So, I'm (19M) moving out of my parents house in two months- already signed the lease, got a job, everything's great. I worked really hard and have been working really hard to get to this point, so I'm proud of myself for taking this first big step towards independence and having my own place by the time I turn 20. The process of getting this place was very hard and scary, but on the bright side, it's pretty much over.

The thing is, I'm really afraid of the future. I don't do well with big life changes. I don't even personally know the roommates I have. I'm worried about working while starting up uni again. I'm afraid I don't have what it takes, or that my roommates will be shitty, and I don't really have anyone to turn to about my fears. I cut my dad out of my life, I don't really talk to my stepdad about anything, and I love my mom, but she has a tendency to increase my anxiety whenever I tell her about my life, so I try to only talk about "safe" topics. Is it normal to be afraid of independent living?

I guess I'm afraid the entire situation will end in disaster. I love my family, but I don't want to live with them anymore. I want to be my own person and not be bogged down by their expectations for me. I can't grow if I still depend on them, it only re-opens old wounds. I don't want to fail at living on my own and get an "I told you so" or "See, you should still live with us". I don't want to feel incompetent. I don't know, I'm just sad and afraid and don't know what to do about it.

Any advice?
