I just wanted to point out/understand this plot hole.

Before I start I would like to say, I loved this movie, it was a fun, engaging experience and would watch again.

So early on before the time travel starts, we see Bill and Ted (Lets call them Bill and Ted Present), We see them sitting outside the shop, and then they meet Bill and Ted Future from after their adventure.

After their adventure, we see the same event happen from Bill and Ted Present, but now the future's POV. We see them talking to ANOTHER version of themselves

Is this a time loop, or did the time machine cross to an alternate universe where they met a different version of themselves?
