After Credits Scene? Of course
I laughed when the Tech Princess called the white guy "colonizer"
100% agree. His lines were dogshit but he have them a huge amount of life. Awesome villain with complex motivations (i.e. I don't necessarily think that what he wants is evil, more so liberating and vengeful).
Let's say the King did tell them not to go retrieve the body, then I presume the King also would have told them not to go up the mountain to find M'baku? They did that anyway.
You're totally right, most of his loyalty was probably due to his position as king, and very few people saw the fight anyway.
Okay, lets say that everyone assumed he died from the fall. That makes sense, it was a very long fall into dangerous water. He died in ritual combat. But how can you explain why no one was sent to retrieve his body? The river was accessible. And "proper burial" is very important to Wakandans.
The natural plot development in my eyes should have been:
- T'challa gets thrown off the waterfall
- The royal family is upset, and goes to look for the body
- In a huge surprise, they find the body
- They steal a flower to attempt to revive the dead T'challa
- It works, he is revived
- T'challa goes up the mountain to request help from M'baku and his army
- T'challa goes to stop Killmonger's evil plan
Wouldn't that have seemed more natural to you?
T'challa had loyalty from the entire country of Wakanda! Wasn't every tribe cheering for him when he was close to losing the challenge against M'baku at the crowning ceremony?
I can't argue against your point on time, because they were quite hasty about their escape up the mountain, but surely it wouldn't take long at all to send some 20 year old on a hover bike to at least look for the body.
I'm just saying that the decision to take T'challa's death at face value (and make no effort to confirm the death or recover the body) was inconsistent with their desperation to NOT have Killmonger as their new king.
Good point, I forgot that his mother made that point.
Still, the river was accessible by the Jabari fisherman, so I can't understand why T'Challa's people wouldn't at least send someone down ther to check for his body.

Killmonger mentioned his motivation several times. He was upset that Wakandans chose not to help oppressed people of color around the world (a view that his father also held, and presumably taught to him).
My only problem with T'challa's death was that nobody from his group went down there to confirm his death or to collect the body for a proper burial. T'challa makes a point of "proper burials" when speaking with T'chaka. Also, did he CHOOSE not to die when given the heart plant juice in the snow??
But, seriously, where can I find Claw's mixtape?
