I just finished watching Ex Machina the other day and I have a question. We find out that the doors are reprogrammed to open instead of lock in a power cut. So how does Ava lock him in at the end of the film? I didn't think she had the power to do that. Am I being stupid?? It is an amazing film and it's a shame that I don't properly understand it! I'm probably missing something really obvious but I couldn't find anything on Reddit or other websites explaining it so can someone who's seen the movie please help me out. Thanks in advance!!
