What are your favourite examples of a great movie that is inspired by another great movie?
For me, a millennial, I saw Batman Begins before I ever saw Blade Runner. Begins came out when I was 16 years old. Having grown up on the Burton films and being disappointed with the Schumacher films I was super excited for a fresh start. I loved Begins and read everything I could about the making of it. When I read that Nolan screened Blade Runner for the crew prior to shooting Begins I immediately watched it. I don’t think I truly understood the influence until years later but now, almost twenty years after Begins came out, I feel like I fully understand the influence of Blade Runner on Begins.
