Any movies that have near universal derision, that you like and are willing to defend? Mine is The Good Son. With Macauley Culkin. The critics are wrong. This is a good fucking movie! Culkin is creepy AF. Elijah Wood is very good. The ending, for me, generates legit suspense. I was literally on the edge of my seat. And it really doesn't pull its punches.
I avoided it for 30 years! Because anytime the movie was mentioned, it was in the context of how terrible it is. Finally curiosity got the best of me last year, I grabbed the blu-ray when it was quite cheap. Was very pleasantly surprised. I will defend the film. It's actually damn good!
Agree with my pick? Want to eviscerate it? Or make the case for your own "bad" movie that's secretly good!

I’ll add to that. Van Helsing! The one film that nailed the monsterverse that universal failed at a few years ago. Plus the black and white intro is phenomenally. Summers is so talented.
It’s never too late for a sequel! Never!
