[i aint gonna spoil anythn]
I watched this film a while ago with my mom, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and was wondering if others had as well for similar reasons as me.
Firstly, on how real it is when showing how crime can be different around the world, and giving an in-depth representation of it in Rio De Janeiro.
And second, I really liked the pacing. The film nd plot was always moving, it reminded me of when I watched Breaking Bad, Pulp Fiction, or No Country For Old Men. There was a fair bit of unpredictability as well. There were situations where I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen while something completely different would follow instead.
One of my favorite things about the film how the narrator gave context for some instances. The way things were described felt like I was being filled in on every aspect of how something came to be. One example is when he is explaining how the character with the nickname "Blacky" came to own a specific apartment to sell drugs. It shows a time lapse like sequence of everything that happened there and then cut to present time to show the current owner.
Ioknow if anyone gonna read this or if I'm complementing this movie to much, but I just wanted to share something I enjoyed a lot.
