Does anyone else notice that many films lately are using a similar style?
The scenes are quick, innovative, the dialogue is silly, many references to current day events, and they are all kind of silly and almost whimsical.
Some examples of this are: Everything Everywhere All at Once, Bullet Train, Don't look up and Glass Onion.
The colours are also quite saturated and sharp, compared to atmospheric or moody colours we usually see.
What is going on with the cinema? Is this something new, or are we going back to an older time? It kinda reminds me of Trainspotting,
I love the style, but not more than a slow burning cinematic experience.
What do you guys think? Have you noticed this trend?
