Hello!

I have been trying to find this movie that I watched a long time ago and remember it being an action packed movie. I am pretty sure it is late 90's early 00s.

I only remember the opening scene, which is nighttime, in a desert sandy area, along a highway road. There are a bunch of people being chased and they end up in a cave or some other type of enclosure in the desert. These vampires end up killing some people and the scene ends with lots of blood and dead people after an explosion and lots of fire scattered around the desert floor at night. If I remember correctly, there was severed body parts lying around and the scene fades out from the night time desert floor with lots of fire all around.

I just remember this being very bloody, gory and lots of action but cannot recall any named actors.

I know this is not much to go on, but I am pretty sure this was on HBO, Showtime or Cinemax in the 90s, 00s.

I remember the cinematography seemed well done so it did not feel like a low budget Indy movie, and it was an American made movie.

I'm hoping there is a vampire movie buff that can help acknowledge this movie exists and it is not some figment of my imagination lol.

Appreciate any help in trying to help me remember this!
