We've been searching for years for this movie and it would make my friends year if I could track it down.
Picture it: 2010ish, hanging out in my living room flipping through Netflix trying to find something to watch. She's not into scary movies, but we settle on what appears to be a thriller about a psychologist getting trapped during lick down in the prison and fighting to get out. Honest, it did not sound that bad and the description said nothing about cannibals.
Yeah, the entire prison is full of cannibals. In the first but a psychologist interviews a few and they are like rabid to get some human meat. Psychologist is all dedicated to rehabilitation them. There's this motherly old black woman who you actually feel bad for, even though she's sick.
And then the cannibals all break out and it turns into a horror fest. Some of the most gruesome stuff I've ever seen. The nice old lady has killed a prison guard (I think) and is walking through the steps to bake him properly and acting like she was just so excited to be back in the kitchen teaching her friend how to bake her favorite cake.
It was traumatizing. We couldn't turn it off. We had to see it through. We called it the aunt Jemima movie because the sweet old lady reminded us of Aunt Jemima (so sorry, was less woke back then). We've looked for years but haven't found it.
So Netflix, approximately 2010. Psychologist persons first day. Trapped in a prison hospital type place with a bunch of cannibals running free. Would love the opportunity to traumatize others!
