Watched the 2004 remake of Stepford Wives for the first time and I had to laugh that the Scooby Doo movie from 2002 is essentially the same movie beat by beat. Down to the villain being somebody else at the end of the movie and even being defeated in a similar way.
Nothing else to add just thought it was a funny observation. I havent seen the original, but I assume that for the 2004 movie to be like the 2002 Scooby movie, it has to be a very close remake.
Makes me think of the board room tale of Cameron writing ALIEN.... to ALIEN$ on the white board and making the contract. Probably went similarly.
Any other examples where one movie is just another?
