Hi there, just had my fun in Pendor (at 40% difficulty because I'm a wimp) and am looking for some mod suggestions! The list at the sidebar looks nice, but I'm not really sure what's good about them (i.e. I don't watch GoT, so will ACOK still appeal as much?)
What I liked the most about PoP is how much potential for customization there is and the feeling that you're always progressing, the feeling that everything you do is making you better and stronger.
I also liked how powerful units in PoP can steamroll several weaker units, so it really brings a "hero" feel to the game. It makes the world feel more dangerous and a bit more fantasy-ish, if you get what I mean. The power imbalance can be kind of enjoyable. :3
What I don't like about PoP though is how grindy it can feel. Sure, I always feel like I'm getting somewhere, but it also isn't too fun to have your goals seem impossibly far away. I also don't like huge battles - an army of 1500 is a bit too tedious to do without kiting into other armies (which I don't like doing)
Currently I'm looking at Gekokujo and Anno Domini 1257, but I was wondering if anyone here could suggest something even better knowing the kind of player I am. Thank you!
