Been seeing a lot of folks post season ending (or shortening) injuries lately. I've been hitting raging river a few times a week recently (great trails east of seattle and ~15 minute drive from my house).
This morning, I hit the brakes late on a loose turn and skidded into a tree going reasonably fast and squashed my finger between my handlebar and a tree. An inch or more up the finger, and I'm sure something would be broken badly. Instead, I have an oddly purple finger and I can still ride tomorrow (although, maybe a little slower).
Bonus - as bad as it looks I can still type fine.
