So I picked up this frame a couple of days ago for a steal (in my opinion, a couple hundred AUD), no cracks, really well maintained, the previous owner though had already parted it out.

I am new to bike maintenance but have been looking for a good project, looking for suggestions for the necessary running gear which would provide a similar spec to what the frame deserves (i.e had high end parts in 2011 - but assume they would be equivalent performance of the mid tier new parts now available).

Ideally looking for suggested parts to look out for on the second hand market to build over time, but also new is fine as well.

I am very much a casual rider but would still like something we'll put together, and something I will have a bit of equity in as well when time comes for something new.

Thanks, he threw it in as I was leaving as he had it spare lying around lol

The brains recently serviced and in really great shape (I have an older model epic which I was hoping to swap some parts over from, but they have seen better days). I could still use the 26' off that one though but of course open to suggestions. The front fork is in great shape too, he just hadn't ridden in a while as moved to his newer bikes
