PSA for Los Angeles Area Riders: Avoid Trippet->Eagle Junction
Author Summary
chock-a-block is in Los Angeles, CA
Post Body

PSA: A couple of long sections of the fire road between Trippet Ranch and Eagle Junction are so wet the ground is sticky like I haven't seen in years. This is not "fun mud." It's a sticky and deep, impossible to ride, and stays stuck to everything. Your bike will be filled with pounds of very sticky mud and unable to roll within a couple of meters. Your feet will look like clown shoes and gain pounds of mud. There are three very long sections of the mud.

Plan 1: use Eagle Springs/Eagle Rock as a loop back to the Hub Junction.

Plan 2: climbing from Paseo Miramar, turn off at the Trippet Ranch parking lot. If you haven't climbed Paseo Miramar from Sunset before, turning off at Trippet might be a good plan.

Everything else is in pretty good shape. More rain on the way.
