I recently replaced an old moto G phone with a much newer moto edge 40 pro, and I noticed that it's battery gets spent muuch much faster. My old one (G9 power) lasted like 2 full days on a single 100% charge with a lot of use (Mostly reading web novels in a web browser, using twitter, and discord). The new one does not even last until ~4PM from ~7AM which is when I unplug it from the charger. I know the old one had a 6000 mAh and the new one has a 4.600mAh battery, but I honestly expected a smaller difference (This feels like 25%-33% of the battery life I used to have, I was expecting around 75% in the worst case, probably better since my old one had 2 years of wear and tear reducing battery life and the newer CPUs should in theory be more energy efficient and such, right? )

I tried to look at the android "Battery Usage" screen but I'm mostly just confused. Right now I'm at 36%, so 64% has been spent. I have not done much with the phone today, basically only installed a single (smaller than 30mb) app from the app store, and didn't even open it after. It's been ~6 hours since I unplugged it from the charger. The only apps it shows me are "mobile networkj", "play store", "phone idle" and "android system". The sum of the percetanges shown is 7%. I don't know if that means 7% of the total battery life, or 7% of the consumed 100-36=64%, but in either case, that number makes little sense to me. Where did the other 93% of it go?

Are there any better ways of getting that information? I tried to use the google battery-historian thing for developers, but the linked github repo for battery-historian (https://github.com/google/battery-historian) was archived on Dec 29, 2022 and I can't run it (I get this error https://github.com/google/battery-historian/issues/206 about ECMASCRIPT8 ).

I have already trying disabling a bunch of the useless builtin apps, setting "Restricted" battery profile for most apps, enabling data saver, disabling NFC, turning down the screen saver lock timeout, setting the display frequency to the minimum value (60hz), turning the brightness as low as I can (Around 25% of the bar), disabling adaptive brightness, using dark mode and a dark-ish wallpaper, turning off location, bluetooth, and mobile data while I use wifi, and recalibrating the battery according to motorola guidance (force reboot, then charge to 100%, the leave it charging for an extra hour).
