Unsure if this is the right place or the /r legal subreddit but I figured I'd ask here to see what y'all think.

Went out on the bike and parked it in a parking lot. As I was gone, this lady's kids went and started climbing on the bike.

I come out and tell her calmly that she needs to get her kids off my bike and to be careful cause not only is it 600lbs, the pipes are blistering hot and they'd get severe burns. She told me that I'm the one liable if anything happens and should know the risks of parking it publicly.

This isn't the first time this has happened either...I went and parked it in a driveway at a house I was at recently and the owner's kids did the same thing.

And she basically said the same...except added that, 'you should've parked it in the street. And it seems like you don't care about the safety of my kids. You should be more careful'.

Is this a thing? Like...am I crazy or am I actually liable for the lack of parenting?
