Wasn’t really sure where to post this, just happened a bit ago on the way home from work. I take a street from behind my work through a small neighborhood that comes out onto a road with a curve from where oncoming cars for the lane I’m turning right onto come from. That speed zone is 35 mph Because of the curve on my left which is about 3-4 streets down I usually try My best to see if I can see any cars or headlights coming before turning right onto the street. Usually what happens is as I’m turning onto the street I end up seeing a car coming in the rear view which at that point I’m already pulling onto the street it’s too late. I’ve never had any sort of issue where someone showed road rage or anything as if I had cut them off or pulled out in front of them. And this is a street I’ve been taking for years for work.

Tonight as I was doing the same heading home routine as usually, tried to make sure no one was coming and pulled out onto the street. I see headlights in the rear view just as I was coming onto the street. I didn’t think anything of it because it was already too late I was out on the street. Next thing I know the motorcycle takes the shoulder to get right in front of me while waving his arms at me and pumped on his brakes to get me to hit my brakes. Of course I decelerated and tried to like hang back so I wouldn’t hit him or anything and then he sped off while he kept looking back at me.

The whole thing set me off on adrenaline which has now turned into anxiety. I keep wondering if I did something wrong and what if him getting in front of me had made me hit him if I didn’t react quick enough. I had made it about 2-3 streets down from where I turned when he did this so I hadn’t thought like I had cut him off or anything. I’m not really sure what to make of this and just wanted to see what others thought.

Tl:dr turned right onto a street with a curve 4 streets down on my left for oncoming traffic, saw headlights as I was getting on the street, motorcycle suddenly passes me on the shoulder and gets in front of me, guy waves his arm at me and pumps to brakes to make me brake. Did I do something wrong?
