Hey everyone, I'm new to riding and motorcycle maintenance. I had a new chain and rear sprocket put on a ninja 250 recently and waxed the chain for the first time. I followed the instructions I found on a revzilla video (pretty simple).
I have 2 questions about it though:
-In the video he wiped the chain after spraying it with the wax, to clean up the excess wax. Is it possible to remove too much by doing this and how can I tell (how wet should the chain look)
And also
-I was using the rear kick stand, with a piece of cardboard underneath to keep the garage floor clean. The rear tire touched some of the pooled up wax while I was rotating it. I wiped it off but want to be sure this won't cause a problem with traction. I took the bike for about a 30 minute ride through town after, but mostly on smooth road and no high speed turns, swerves or lane changes. It seems fine but I want to be sure before getting on the freeway.
Any advice or experience with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
