Matching gear to your bike's color?

I currently went from a green Ninja 300 to an orange Z1000. My current helmet is an HJC CL-17. I'm thinking about painting it orange and black to match my new bike. Any have pictures of themselves with their gear on their bike? Just curious to see how people match with their motorcycles.
Edit: So I think my helmet is too big for my head. The cheek pads don't feel very snug whereas they used to when I bought it. Should I try buying new cheek pads?
