Honda Nighthawk 750 vs. CX500, or 650 vs. Honda GL650

I'm looking to ride again. I sold my last bike 5 years ago. I'm now married and my wife would like to join me on some cruises.

We would like something comfortable to ride for 3 to 4 hours. I'd also like something fun to bum around the city on. I don't have a huge budget for a bike right now.

The 80's Honda bikes catch my eye. I found a few Nighthawk 750's online. I also saw a few GL650 Interstate bikes and the occasional CX.

Based on your experience what can you recommend of the three? I want to stay away from anything to complicated.
