looking at getting a honda cbr500r
Post Body

id like to know reviews from other redditors about comfort, pros, cons, ease of use, reliability, what kind of mods can be done to it, and stuff like that. im looking at making a 750-1000$ down payment on one. i like the style and it seems good since i have experience and i currently ride a 125cc bike (grom clone) i know there will be a massive power difference but im good with throttle control and how not to panic in a sticky situation (angry/bad drivers). would 5k be a reasonable goal for a 2019-2021 used bike from a dealership? i dont trust used bikes anymore on marketplace

edit: my issue with marketplace is that sellers lie a lot and 300-500cc bikes are beginner bikes so the clucthes can be messed up, its probably been dropped a few times. there could be hidden issues. for example heres a story that happened to my buddy. we went to go buy a bike, i was taking him and hed ride it back, well he bought it, all things were good. until time for an oil change. turns out the seller used heavier oil to hide the internal issues. my buddy changed the oil and started it up. 5 mins later the engine was knocking. inexperienced riders tend to mess things up and try to hide the damages when reselling
