New and Looking for starter bike

Hia I'm new to the world of motorcycles. I started to look into them and wanted some real human input. I keep looking at the Honda cbr line. I have never rode a motorcycle before but they look like a lot of fun. Any other ideas for bikes that are better for beginners would be nice too. Any good Facebook or reddit groups that I should join as well to learn more?

Also my budget right now is up to 3 grand so any idea for brands or type of bikes would be great. ( facebook market place seems to be a little over priced lately)

I will note im in the USA in the midwest area so the roads arent always the best.
