Good cams for helmets or helmet cameras?

I'm looking into buying a camera for helmets or a helmet with an integrated camera. Which would be better? Any recommendations?
I think just buying the camera would be cheaper, but the ones i've seen are kind of bulgy and I'd feel like a unicorn.
The helmets with integrated cameras sound more practic, but also much more expensive.
Suggestions?
