A year ago I tried to get my motorcycle license, during the lessons the brakes of the learner's motorcycle seized up and I was thrown over the steering wheel, landing on my hip. Spent a couple weeks with a bad couple of bruises on my hip, ass and part of my back.
For one I'm glad it happened on the learning circuit and not the road, could have ended pretty badly.
That incident immediately turned me off from motorcycles, instilling a healthy dose of fear, well, more than a healthy dose.
That's the thing, I want to try again, I've been watching people ride motorcycles as I sit in my car and it makes me jealous as all heck. Been spending my time looking at second hand motorcycles too, mostly older 70's and 80's bikes, I really dig the way they look.
Anyway, is there any way to get rid of that fear? I don't want to spend my days looking at motorcycle riders in jealousy, knowing I probably could have been part of it.
