Mechanic trouble

Took my bike to the mechanic for some electrical work, basically connecting all the lights and speedo. He said it should take about 1-2 weeks, but the bike has been there for almost two months now. I sent him a msg on monday and he still hasn't replied. What can I do? I'm afraid no one is going to be willing to fix it if he doesn't but I don't want to wait forever.
