Read allot of posts recently about first wrecks well I had mine. 1500 Suzuki intruder. Have ridden 400000 km over the past 15 years never been in an accident.
Leaving work pull out of the yard to the stop sign. Semi truck leaving the yard as well in the lane to go left. I’m going right so go to the right lane. Pull up but the truck is a little to far forward for me to really see so I’m waiting. Truck pulls out the changes his mind and does a wide turn right. Before I realize what’s happening the side of his box hits my bike knocking me over. Rear wheels catch my bike and I get dragged. 30 feet of dragging the bike and truck go over me.
Amazingly nothing broken. Have some completely torn ligaments on n my ankle which will need surgery but could be worse. Bike was a right off (made out well on that as I had been trying to sell it and in my market I’d be lucky to get 2500, got 5300) not at fault so no deductible.
It sucks. Been couch bound outside of physio for 2 months. Just remember accidents can happen out of nowhere.
