Hello r/motorcycles on december 14 2012 something horrible happened to me on my way to work. Not even five minutes away from my job a cager decided not to make sure it was safe to cut across a busy road before pulling out of a parking lot. I was just riding along minding my own business when out of nowhere I see the most terrifying thing I've ever encountered. It was a soccer mom with a big ass SUV. I tried to swerve to miss her but there was not enough room she was about 10 feet in front of me before I even saw her. I slammed on both brakes to slow down as much as possible. I have a broken leg that had to be stitched back together because when I slide my muscle and skin peeled away from my bones. I have road rash on my face, lower back and left leg. I was geared up so not that much road rash but shit does it hurt. here are some pics of me afterwards
