Can 600s hit a top speed of 170mph?

I saw an argument online where many were saying it was outright impossible for a 600 to get close to 170mph , and that everyone who claimed this speed on a 600 was “delusional” as if they weren’t aware of the speedo indicated versus actual speed.

I understand there is about a 10 percent difference on most motorcycles speedometers , but is it really that crazy to believe a 600 can achieve 170mph?

I saw that the 2008 R6 was the first and only 600 to have a top speed of 170mph right out of the factory so it doesn’t seem to far out of reach that it can be done with mods and weight reduction..
