Will a 3/8 steel bar through the frame be safe to support my motorcycle?
Post Body

Trying to adjust the aftermarket shock links or put back to stock.

This is the spot on the bike Iโ€™m talking about: https://imgur.com/a/zD24E28

The hole is 1/2โ€, I plan on lifting the bike from the bottom with a jack, then lowering it so the 3/8 bar is on jack stands supporting the bike on each side.

This is what Iโ€™m thinking of getting: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-8-in-x-36-in-Plain-Steel-Square-Rod-801207/204273993

Wish the hole on the bike was bigger so I could use 1/2โ€ instead. Is a 3/8 strong enough to support this 400lb and some change motorcycle ?

Iโ€™ll buy 1/2 to see if itโ€™ll slip in and return if not.
