Any tips for riding with fresh piercings?

I really want to get piercings and I'd like to know if there's anyway to ride while healing the piercings?
I'm considering lobes and cartiladge like helix, daith, inner conch or should I simply not get them or avoid any of these?
The reason I ask is bc I'm aware cartiladge can take upto a year to heal.
