I know it is way early, but just had that thought yesterday listening to the game. I don't think E-Rod deserves it after he bailed on the team this year and didn't contact them for awhile. Mize and Skubal will still be out with injury. Manning maybe, but still not much experience and putting pressure on him like that maybe not a good idea. I don't see Tigers being in the market for a big time free agent either. Maybe Daniel Norris if he stays and really develops as a starter in the offseason and spring training given his history with Detroit. Maybe Matthew Boyd signs back with the Tigers for not much and he has a great spring.

If Spencer Turnbull is healthy enough at the start of the season after coming back from Tommy John, I would go with him.
