The Red Sox radio guys made it sound like both plays were the easiest of routine ground balls, that an average little leaguer would have no problem. Both errors were huge, they came around to score. Can't have that happen in such close games were the pitching staff still is getting worn out, every out is big.
Speaking of Goodrum, while he was a good story the first couple of years in Detroit. He is has pretty brutal the last couple of years. His glove was supposed to be his strong point. But he strikeouts like crazy. Today, first two at bats 6 pitches, 2 Ks. I'm starting to see a little Prince Fielder in him, in that he doesn't really seem to care what is going on on the field, just doing his job, earning his paycheck. Doesn't seem to care if you are going to make an out, at least make it a productive one. Move the runners over. Seems like he would just rather be home playing his video games. Show some passion, get pissed he struck out again with runners on base.
