Is it just me or do you feel so much more confident with Harris at the trade deadline then with Avila? I look forward to getting a solid return in the Lorenzen and Rodriguez trades. I wouldn't even be surprised if he somehow managed to flip Baez in a creative trade. You just knew that Al would be on the losing side of the trade and the returns he got would come back very light.
I heard Al on MLB Network radio last week on the trade deadline and they asked him about whether keeping a player and letting him walk after at the end of the season and getting a comp pick in return or trading him at the deadline. Al said of course to trade, which is fine, but he reasoning of receiving a draft pick is too unknown of a return. That would explain his trading of JD Martinez, three subpar prospects, I would have much rather had the second round comp pick at the time of the trade and makes more sense now.
