Missions are about indoctrination not baptizingā¦
I have noticed a very large uptick in missionaries being assigned to Idaho and Utah. this was never a common thing other than occasional girls getting called to the SLC temple mission, because the church wanted to staff temple square with pretty girls only for a while there. Now days tons of kids - elders and sisters I know have been assigned to Utah and Idaho.
Additionally I noticed that if your parents are in a mixed faith relationship and one of your parents or both of your parents are out of the church, then missionaries have a very very high chance your going to get called to Idaho or Utah. I have seen multiple instances of this.
When bishops submit mission papers do they indicate any personal notes about the kid applying? Do they note if a parent has left the church? What about at the stake level, has anyone filled out and helped submit mission papers recently?
I know of 4 different kids who did mission paper work and all of them had at least one or both parents out of the church and they all have gone to heavy Mormon concentrated areas for their missions. Only those going overseas are from super TBM families.
