Blue collar work n competing
Post Body

Hey guys so I recently got into the lineman trade as a groundsman with starting my apprenticeship here in a month or so, my thing is I’ve noticed it’s getting harder n harder to stay to committed to the gym and diet working 50 hours a week with a 1 hour communte each way. Being very hard to find that balance of doing both with how strenuous my job is like example 1. 2 fridays ago I worked a 25 hour straight shift from 7am on a Friday to 8am on Saturday and this past Friday worked a 15 hour shift of pretty digging a trench for power lines. My dream for the last few years has been to become IFBB in classic the last few years even so much to the point of hiring Matt Jansen as my coach. And I just feel it slipping slowly outta my hands cause of work and being so busy and I don’t want it too but I also know my job is more important and I love the field of work I’m in so I’m not gonna quit work but I also don’t wanna give up on my dream on becoming a pro. But with my schedule being so hectic it’s becoming less n less of a reality. My schedule during the week goes as 0420- wake up 0450-500- started fasted cardio 0530-600-finish fasted and get ready for work 06-07-drive to work 07-5 working 0515-6-driving to gym 6-730-lift 730-745-drive home 745-9-get ready for the next day/get ready for bed And these past few weeks it’s been on 60 g’s of carbs daily at the end of a recomp the only I’m still going is cause of my high dosage of vyvanse I’m prescribed. Then on the weekends my sundays are literally spent prepping my food, supplements etc for the week so it’s just grab n go throughout the week. So as you can see I never have time for anything or do anything gotta cancel invites etc to get all my shit done for the week. And these past few weeks I’ve noticed I’ve slipped up on diet multiple times heavily which sucks for my mental health cause for the last 6 months I’ve been on point to a T listening to everything n loving it. It’s just becoming almost impossible now with work. So I’ve decided to take a week vacation from the gym to see if that fire gets re-lit under my ass and to get back to work. Any advice would be appreciated please
