I'm 17m, 5'7 on a good day. About 6 months ago I had an appointment with a doctor to talk about my development. I was worried because all the guys around me were 6'1, 6'2 when they were younger than me.
I was expecting to get told it was nothing and I should just keep eating healthy and exercising but the doctor expressed real concern about it. I got an x-ray on a growth plate that confirmed they were open and that my bone age was 13, 3 years behind my chronological age (which puts me in the category of CDGP). He took my height and weight measurements and told me to come back in 6 months to retake the measurements and, if necessary, talk about seeing an endocrinologist for growth hormone therapy.
It has now been 6 months and I am at best a half inch taller than I was back then. My height has become a lot less of an insecurity to me now but I'm also a lot more informed about what I can do about it while my growth plates are still open.
The doctor I saw before isn't available anymore and I'm worried the new one won't treat it like it's important. What can I do to make sure this doctor treats me seriously so I dont become a manlet
Any time. Sometimes this type of thing is a PITA sometimes it's easier as it may seem.
You... see the endocrinologist as planned?
