Can we all please admit that "TRT" is bullshit?

This thread is partly inspired by the recent Alan Ritchson revelation that he's not natty. He claims "TRT".

So here's the thing: TRT is and always has been bullshit. All it means, literally the only thing it means is "I have a doctor's permission slip for my steroids".

People sometimes try to say "I'm not on steroids. I just do TRT." I'm sorry but testosterone is a potent anabolic steroid even if you have a doctor's note.

"Replacement." Replacing what... the testosterone you wish you had? That's exactly the same as every steroid user. They take the drugs because it replaces the drugs they wish they had in their body.

If you add a couch to a room with no couches, that is not "couch replacement". If you have a room with one couch and you add a second couch, that is also not couch "replacement". You're adding fucking couches. ADDITION is not REPLACEMENT.

Therapy means nothing. It can mean anything that any medical professional wants it to mean.

So let's cut the shit, and cut out Replacement and Therapy from "TRT" and when you do that you're left with just Testosterone, which is what it always was.

This reminds me of medical marijuana. Can MJ/cannabis be therapeutic for people with certain conditions, like cancer or glaucoma, sure. But in reality the medical marijuana thing becomes just a hoop you have to jump through to get your weed. Claim you have anxiety or any other random shit that no one could ever prove. Then you've got your weed and can be like "it's not regular weed, it's therapy weed. I'm on cannabis replacement therapy."

It's all just dumb. It's also easy to game the system. There are ways to ensure you test low when they run your T levels. There are also undoubtedly doctors who will just rubber stamp TRT for anyone who wants to pay them for the doctor's visit. This is a business first and foremost.

What is the logic that a 60 year old man needs the same T levels as a 20 year old? It has never been like that in history but suddenly T levels are not supposed to decline with age? Says who? The reality of it is that people are just taking the drug because it makes them feel better... just as is the case for all drug users.

And for guys in their 20s and 30s who have low T, it's often because they were already abusing steroids, which fucked up their endocrine system, so now you're just giving steroid users prescription steroids to "replace" the street drugs they've already been taking. How therapeutic.

"TRT" people want to pretend like they have some kind of moral high ground over normal steroid users. They don't. They're just steroid users like everyone else. The doctor's permission slip doesn't mean shit.

That's medicinally erroneous not to mention a level of seethe that's simply unbecoming.
