What’s the force needed to get stabby?
Post Body

I’ve been doing so much research on this and I haven’t found an adequate answer. I have two questions under the umbrella of one topic.

First, does anyone know what the force to puncture the human forehead would be? Say the knife was approx 6 in and 9oz (1.5 oz/in). If one were to throw this knife vs stabbing would there be a very significant difference?

Second, and possibly more unhinged, is there a way to figure out the force needed to stab someone, say in the abdomen, with a spoon? Assume this is an old, sturdy, standard size spoon. No sharpening, no prepping of any kind. I know what the wound might theoretically look like but I don’t know how much force it would take.

I’m not a mathematically inclined person nor do I know jack about physics generally speaking so I may not be asking with the right words. If not, my apologies!
