Taking children to psychedelic retreats

Post Body

Had this discussion with an ex a few years ago but is one of my unsolved inner dilemmas until now.

My ex was super into psychedelic usage and loved going on retreats. He described one retreat where he had the potential to do intimate things with a fellow retreat goer and she had a 7 year old in a separate building the whole retreat with her.

To him it was totally normal but to me it kind of.... grossed me out? Imagine you are 7 and for a whole 2 weeks your mom only comes to see you every so often when she's not high or banging rando dudes. According to him, the child did not see any activities and had different adults caring for them so it's totally OK, but in my opinion, what happens when the kid gets old enough to realise what's happening?
