Would like to restore a 1980 Honda Express that I got given to me. Need help.
Post Body

I'm not sure where to begin. I have never restored anything like this before. I'm more of an electrical person. I can fix computers (and game consoles to some degree). I basically know nothing about cars and stuff. Pretty much the most I have done is change my oil and replace a radiator on an old 84 Mercedes so I have little to no knowledge of fixing mechanical issues.

I've been told that it will start but I have not tested this myself. It's been sitting for quite a few years (~7 years I think) and I've decided to make it my summer project to restore it to a decent, working condition. I have no idea where to start on troubleshooting though. Should I start it up and check if it will run? Also, there is no ignition switch so I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to start it. Would I just touch together the ignition wires?

Along with restoring the mechanical and electrical parts of it I'd also like to restore it to how it originally looked. There is quite a bit of rust. How should I go about dealing with this? I assume I should sand off the rust and repaint it but I'd like someone's input so that I don's accidentally destroy the frame with some stupid mistakes.

Anyway, if someone could point me toward some good resources for learning how to do this I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd also like to know where I can get parts for when I need them. Lastly, and I feel like this is a long shot, if there is an owner's manual somewhere on the internet I feel like that would probably be a big help as well. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I just remembered that the oil injection pump is not working according to the previous owner. They said I could just put premixed fuel in it but I'd like to double check with y'all about that before I do. Not sure if someone has already done that either. I do not believe the gas tank has anything in it currently but I have not checked. I will be starting to work on it tomorrow to get a general idea of what all is rusted and what looks like it obviously needs to be replaced.
