I love Montréal. The people are friendly. But last night, out of nowhere, I got sucker punched and beaten up at a bar.

It happened so fast I didn't even register what was happening to me. One moment I was standing, the next I'm on the ground trying to get up, but unable to figure out why I could not. Turns out I was being kicked while on the ground by several guys.

The bouncers were awesome. They pulled me up and kicked the guys out. I was pretty beaten up and bleeding everywhere. The bar staff really took care of me.

Never thought something like this would ever happen to me. I was not looking for a fight. Wasn't being aggressive with anyone. Just talking to people and trying to have a good time. These guys were just douchebag cowards.

I have no recourse. I don't even know what these guys look like. Overall, I have to accept I was viciously assaulted and just move on.
