Most classes are at least partially online for the Spring and Summer semesters. I am taking 100% online classes as an Accounting major. Do you think MSU will continue to offer an increased number of online classes next school year?
Here are my thoughts: With the way the vaccine rollout is going, it's unclear if an effective majority of students would be vaccinated by the start of the Fall 2021 semester. Many professors (especially in the business school) are older, therefore higher risk. On the other side of the coin, many students won't feel comfortable coming to campus multiple times a week as long as the pandemic is raging.
Also, with the large proportion of commuters at MSU, online classes just make sense for a lot of students.
I really hope they continue to offer a good amount of online classes. Curious if anyone has heard their professors say anything about the classes they'll be teaching next year and if they'll be in person/online. Or, feel free to share your thoughts about what you hope to see in the upcoming school year in terms of in person/online class availability. Thanks!
